We hope this message finds you well. Please be advised that severe weather is expected in Texas over the next few days, including [rain, strong winds, freezing temperatures, etc.].

We strongly encourage you to take the following precautions to stay safe and protect your home:

1. Prevent freezing pipes: Leave faucets slightly open to allow water to flow and prevent pipes from freezing. Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow heat to reach pipes.

2. Disconnect outdoor hoses and cover outdoor faucets to protect them from freezing.

3. Check your thermostat to ensure it’s set to at least 55°F, even when you’re away.

4. Secure outdoor items: Bring in any outdoor furniture, decorations, or other objects that could be blown around by high winds.

5. Check windows and doors: Ensure that all windows and doors are properly sealed to prevent drafts or water entry.

6. Clear gutters and drains: If possible, clear any debris from gutters or drainage areas around your unit to prevent water buildup and flooding.

7. Stay informed: Monitor local news and weather alerts to stay updated on any developments.

8. Prepare emergency supplies: Keep flashlights, extra batteries, bottled water, non-perishable food, and blankets on hand in case of power outages.

9. Charge devices: Ensure your phone and other essential electronics are fully charged in case of an emergency.

10. Drive cautiously: If you need to travel, please take extra care on the roads, as they may be slippery or flooded.
